You have probably hear about affirmations before. Its the concept of creating our desired reality by speaking positively and affirming what we want.

Its the way we co-create our future with the universe.

It works because the quantum field (the sheet of all that is) acts like a big mirror—consistently reflecting your beliefs about who you are back to you. Every thought you think creates a chemical response in the brain and body. That chemical response creates a vibration (or state of being) that gets reflected back to you as experiences, feelings, emotions, and interactions. Because your brain and body want to be in sync with each other, every thought you think is accepted by the body as truth.

Still with me? GOOD because:

Here is the catch: you must get your body and emotions involved in the words you think and speak for them to manifest in your life. Now, this is where affirmations becomes a bit tricky…

You see, by age 35, 95 percent of our responses are memorised programs in the brain. Most of the time, you’re on autopilot, unconsciously responding to your reality from chemical memories your body learned at a young age. You’re not as aware and awake as you think you are! Unfortunately, these autopilot programs are usually negatively biased (Im too fat, im tired, im not enough, im never gonna meet my soulmate and so on).

For new affirmations (or beliefs) to work, you have to practice them consistently so you create a new chemical memory in your body. You need to teach your body a new state of being in order to attract or manifest new experiences. You are literally rewiring your thoughts and rewriting your own programming!

So if you have tried affirmations it hasn’t been working for you, its probably because you are not adding the needed emotion behind the words. I am sure many of you know what I am talking about.. Standing in front of the mirror stating I am rich I AM RICH I AM rich while there is an acute knowing of the current balance of 33 euros in your bank account feels kinda.. phoney. #beentheredonethat

Traditional affirmations can bring up resistance in your brain because you are crazy smart. Your frontal lobe knows what’s up, and it wants to keep you safe. Its not going to let itself get fooled so easily when it knows the current reality.

Solution:

What if instead of affirming yet to be truths, we introduce open-ended questions to the equation?

When you use “askfirmations” to change your internal story and chemistry, you’re implementing powerful changes in your neural connections and networks. Your brain, instead of going lier lier pants on fire, is going to star scanning for an answer to your question. This will open you up to new ways of being and seeing things. Examples:

You: “Why are people always giving me money?”

Frontal lobe: Because they love you! Because you’re amazing! Because it’s fun! Because you give so much to everyone! Because you’re allowing it!

You: “Why am I so lucky all the time?”

Frontal lobe: Because you’re awesome! Because you’re aligned! Because you rock! Because: why not you?

You: “Why am I so rich?”

Frontal lobe: Because you work hard! Because you know your stuff! Because your influence is expanding! Because you matter!

Now, doesn’t this feel like an easier and more aligned way to affirm your desired reality? It sure has made a big difference for me. I also want to add that it becomes a prayer, asking not only yourself but also the universe or god(dess) the very same questions and readying yourself for the reply in form of the ask being granted.

Here is the thing, you must be consistent about it. Saying an affirmation for one day is not going to change a thing. This needs to be a daily habit to be able to replace your current beliefs and chemical signatures.

You need to teach your brain and body a new story and identity. Where you attention goes, energy flows and matter grows dear kings and queens.

Now, go out and manifest your dream life! I believe in you.
